Privacy Policy

This policy describes how ModelThis handles information in its financial modeling app, on modelthis.app, and through ModelThis Support. “We” means the operator of ModelThis, reachable at support@modelthis.app.

Your calculations

Calculations run on your device. ModelThis does not transmit the loan amounts, rates, dates, property assumptions, debt information, or other values you enter to us. You can use the calculators without creating a ModelThis account.

Working entries stay in memory until you choose to save them. Saved calculations, comparison sets, names, altered terms, and related planning information are stored by the app on your device and can remain available after you close the app. ModelThis does not synchronize your calculations between devices or send saved calculations to us.

App data may be included in device backups depending on your Apple backup settings. Deleting the app removes its locally stored app data from the device; restoring a device backup may restore previously backed-up data.

Exporting and sharing

When you choose to export a PDF, ModelThis creates the report on your device from the current scenario or saved information. The iPhone share sheet lets you decide whether to save, print, or share the report. ModelThis does not automatically send exported reports to us or anyone else.

Copies you save or share are handled by the destination app, service, or recipient. Deleting a saved calculation in ModelThis does not delete copies you previously exported outside the app.

ModelThis Plus purchases

ModelThis Plus is an optional In-App Purchase processed by Apple. ModelThis uses Apple’s StoreKit purchase records to check whether Plus is unlocked and to restore access. We do not receive your payment-card details, and your financial scenario entries are not sent to Apple as part of a purchase.

Purchasing and restoring may require an internet connection and your Apple Account. Restoring Plus access does not itself transfer locally saved calculations between devices.

Advertising and tracking

ModelThis does not contain advertising, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics tools. The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, or location for its financial modeling features.

This website

Modelthis.app is a static website delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information that is necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the site, such as IP address, request headers, and security-related information, under Cloudflare’s own privacy practices.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics on this website, and the site does not intentionally set advertising or analytics cookies.

Contacting support

If you email support@modelthis.app, we receive the email address and sender name supplied by your email service, along with the message and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to reply, troubleshoot issues, and improve ModelThis.

Please avoid sending passwords, full account numbers, or other sensitive information that is not needed to explain your question.

Service providers and sharing

Messages sent to support@modelthis.app are routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to our support mailbox hosted by Yahoo Mail. Cloudflare, Yahoo, and your chosen email provider process support messages under their own privacy policies. Apple separately handles App Store services, In-App Purchases, and any system diagnostics you choose to share under Apple’s settings and policies.

We do not sell your support correspondence or use it for advertising. We share it only as reasonably necessary to provide support through our service providers, comply with legal obligations, or protect against abuse.

Retention and deletion

We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, resolve related issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Email and infrastructure providers may retain backups or technical records under their own retention practices.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of support information you have sent us by emailing support@modelthis.app. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. We cannot retrieve your calculator entries because the app does not send them to us.

Changes and questions
